Dr. Nader Hamdan is currently a certified periodontist at Perio Partners in Edmonton, Alberta and is also a Clinical Professor of Periodontics at the Graduate Periodontics – University of Alberta.  
Dr. Nader Hamdan received a Bachelor of Dental Surgery (B.D.S.) from Jordan University of Science and Technology (Jordan). He practiced general dentistry for 12 years before pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) in Dental Sciences from McGill University (Canada), and a Master of Dentistry in Periodontics (M.Dent.) as well as residency training in periodontics from the University of Manitoba (Canada). Dr. Hamdan is a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (Canada), and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and Dental Implant Surgery (USA).
Dr. Hamdan served as Director of the Graduate Periodontics Program at Dalhousie University in Halifax for 6 years. He also recently shared his extensive academic and clinical knowledge overseas as Head of Periodontics and Deputy Head of Clinical Affairs at the College of Dental Medicine at Qatar University in Doha, Qatar. 
As an international testament to those contributions, the American Academy of Periodontology recognized Dr. Hamdan in 2020 with the academy’s “2020 Educator Award in recognition of distinguished teaching and mentoring in periodontics”, and International College of Dentists recognized him in 2023 with the prestigious Fellowship of the International College of Dentists (FICD) for “outstanding professional achievement, meritorious service, and dedication to the continued progress of dentistry for the benefit of humankind”
