Dr. Manor Haas

Dr. Haas is a Certified Specialist in Endodontics and is extensively and passionately involved in continuing education for dental professionals. 

​

Dr. Manor Haas graduated from the University of Toronto with numerous awards and a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. 

 

After practicing general dentistry for a number of years, he pursued advanced training in endodontics and micro-surgery at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  There he obtained his specialty certificate in Endodontics.

 

With a Masters Degree in dentistry and as a Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada, Dr. Haas holds staff teaching positions at  Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children and the University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, Department of Endodontics.

 

At the university, he is a lecturer and clinic instructor in the department of Graduate and Undergraduate Endodontics.

With his hospital staff position, Dr. Haas provides direct patient care along with specialize

Professional Liability Program

Course Description: The Professional Liability Program provides malpractice protection and risk management advice to Ontario dentists. In this presentation, PLP staff will provide information about PLP and the services it provides, describe the law of dental negligence, and offer guidance on how to avoid common errors leading to claims for malpractice.

Learning Objectives: At the end of the session, participants will be able to:

  • Understand the objectives and features of the dental malpractice protection provided by PLP.

  • Describe the elements of dental negligence.

  • Identify situations that may lead to legal actions against dentists.

Dr. Luis Quiterio DDS

Dr. Luis was the co-director of the Endodontics program at Dalhousie University.

He is currently a clinical instructor at the University og Toronto Endodontics program.

​

He has practiced Endodontics for 20 years in private practice and lectures on Endodontics extensively.

​

This lecture was presented via Zoom at no cost to our study club, due to COVID restrictions in place.

Advanced Pain and Anxiety Management for the General Dentist

Dr. Khaled Khaled

May 13th, 2020

 

Dr. Khaled is a Dental Surgeon and Dental Anaesthesiologist. 

 

He's completed more than 5000 surgeries on children and adults. He has worked at Sick Kids hospital among other Toronto teaching hospitals and currently teaches at the University of Toronto.

 

 1hr Lecture will be followed up with Q&A.
